2011 is a turning point for Bag of Donuts. The popular, long time New Orleans cover band has undergone a metamorphasis of sorts. The departure of front man John Duplantis in January rings in a new era. The band's live engineer since 1995, Bobby Hoerner, a musician in his own right (Metal Rose, The Morning Life), was tapped for the position of lead singer. The result has been a raw, sexier and more powerful band. Their fan base on Facebook has doubled since the change. Major changes indeed. The best part is that all of this is happening with John Duplantis' blessing and spirit. There's a beauty and energy to that feeling. Bag of Donuts respects it's past and are pumped about the future.
